Rust’s Steam listing is the native-game destination in this guide. It is not the Skate Rust browser project appearing in the shared social list.

The similar wording can be confusing. Choose by the actual project and publisher, not just a word in the title.

## Describe the server and situation

When writing down a performance issue, include the location, server, resolution, and settings you were using. Keep the test situation as similar as possible for later comparisons.

Do not turn one server session into a universal hardware benchmark. A useful record explains the conditions in which you saw the problem.

## Build a modest performance check

Start with the current publisher requirements and settings documentation. Keep a copy of your initial settings, then change one supported option and repeat the scene.
